Scheduled for delivery soon, the vessel will be officially handed over to Purus Wind’s High Speed Transfers (HST) Marine in conjunction with Strategic Marine’s official yard opening on 29 March.

HST Marine, acquired by Purus Marine in 2022, ordered four StratCat 27 from Strategic Marine in January this year. \

According to Strategic Marine, the 27-metre vessel was designed for optimal operational efficiency across a wide range of loading conditions, with a hull form that maximises waterline length and reduces emissions and fuel consumption.

The ship will have a maximum speed of 26 knots and enough space to accommodate 24 offshore service/industrial personnel and three crew members.

The inaugural order for parallel hybrid SC27s will see the four vessels being delivered in the first and second quarters of 2023. If the options for two additional vessels are exercised, the additional pair will be delivered in the third quarter of 2023.

In February, HST Marine signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Strategic Marine to build three new Chartwell Marine-designed hybrid CTVs.
