Under the two-year contract, ODE will provide a range of services including basic engineering, wind turbine generators (WTG) package support as well as EPC preparation support.

According to the company, the aim is for the project to achieve commercial operation by 2026, ahead of the Korean Government’s goal to establish an offshore wind capacity of 12 GW by 2030.

ODE will coordinate activities on this project between its Seoul and London offices.

The company is now supporting over 1 GW of offshore wind projects in Korea as the Owner’s Engineer.

In March, ODE and Hanmi Global were awarded a contract for a 400 MW offshore wind farm in South Korea by an unnamed client.
