The Vesterhav offshore wind farms are located 10 kilometres off the West coast of Jutland near Thyborøn (Nord) and Søndervig (Syd) in water depths of approximately 20 metres. The wind farms have a combined capacity of 344 MW.

DEME Offshore will install 21 monopile foundations at Vesterhav Nord, and 20 foundations at Vesterhav Syd.

Bladt Industries and EEW will provide the transition pieces and monopiles, respectively.

The foundations will support Siemens Gamesa 8.4 MW wind turbines which will be installed by Jan De Nul’s Vole au vent.

The cables for the two wind farms will be manufactured and delivered by Hellenic Cables. Asso.subsea will install the cables.

Vattenfall took the final investment decision on the projects earlier this week.
