Nordsee One Seeks Major Turbine Components Replacement Team

Nordsee One GmbH has issued a contract notice seeking works related to the exchange of major turbine components at the 332 MW Nordsee One offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.

Located in the German Bight approximately 32 kilometres north of the Island Juist, Nordsee One Comprises 54 Senvion 6.2M126 turbines with a nominal output of 6.15 MW which have been in operation since 2017.

Nordsee One now wants to enter into a contract for services and works for the exchange of major components on 47 wind turbines, starting from 1 March 2022 until the last component replacement is completed.

The main tasks of the scope will be the replacement of major components like the rotor shaft-bearings of the turbines; documentation and reporting of the tasks and the turbines and all tasks which are necessary to keep the turbines running safely and sustainably; full logistics including the provision of heavy-lift vessels; and base infrastructure.

The tender remains open until 5 July.

Nordsee One GmbH is a special purpose company owned by Northland Power Inc. (85 per cent) and RWE (15 per cent).
