Triton Knoll Enters Wind Turbine Installation Phase

Cadeler’s wind farm installation vessel Wind Osprey has arrived at the Triton Knoll wind farm loaded with the first sets of MHI Vestas V164-9.5 MW turbines.

The installation of the first wind turbine at the site some 32 kilometres offshore Lincolnshire, UK, is ongoing.

Wind Osprey loaded the turbine components at Able Seaton Port, MHI Vestas’ logistics and pre-assembly hub in Hartlepool.

In total, the jack-up will transport and install 90 turbines at the 857 MW wind farm.

Triton Knoll is owned by RWE (59%) and partners J-Power (25%) and Kansai Electric Power (16%), with RWE leading the construction on behalf of the partnership.

The wind farm is expected to be fully commissioned in 2022.
