Welding and traceability control is vital for the contract with stringent coded welding, inspection and documentation compliance to the Offshore Standard DNVGL-OS-C401.

Point Engineering secured funding for training and certification via Green Port Hull to attain the levels of compliance required to meet the high-level standards required by the offshore wind industry.

Ørsted’s Hornsea Project One will comprise 174 7MW Siemens turbines installed across an area of 407 square kilometers some 120 kilometres off the Yorkshire coast. The wind farm is scheduled for commissioning in 2020.
