Havvind Aarhus Bugt (HAB) selected Siemens as a preferred supplier for the wind energy project off east Jutland, Denmark.
The German manufacturer confirmed they are in talks with the developer of the 80MW Mejlflak over the possible deal to deliver twenty 4MW offshore wind turbines for the project.
The negotiations are expected to be completed early next year while the inauguration of the wind farm is scheduled for 2017.
Mejlflak project, which would be able to power around 100,000 households, is still waiting to gain approval from the Danish Energy Agency.
