Survey Underway at Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Farm
As previously announced, the Neart na Gaoithe Offshore Wind Limited has begun the seabed Cone Penetration Tests (CPTs) at the Neart na Gaoithe offshore wind farm site.
The company will carry out a total of 110 CPTs with multi-purpose vessel Fugro Commander over the period of 26 days, starting 12th December 2013.
With a capacity of 450MW, which is enough power to supply around 325,000 Scottish homes, more than the whole of Edinburgh, the project is located in the outer Forth Estuary, some 30km north of Torness.
