These IT solutions are suitable for a wide range of wind farm specific control systems. Mr. Dennis Schiricke, Managing Director of OutSmart Asset Management: “Our dedicated team and our IT systems enable us to coordinate different wind farms with different control systems at the same time.”

During the Opening Event on the 31st of October, Mayor of Emden, Mr. Bernd Bornemann will be present to execute the official opening happening. Also Project Director of Trianel wind farm Borkum West, Mr. Klaus Horstick will give a speech and will elaborate on the status of the wind farm and the first experience with OutSmart’s Operations Control Centre.

Emden is a town and seaport in the northwest of Germany and is being used for the majority of the helicopter flights to the German offshore wind farms in the Northsea. Because of the strategic location, harbour facilities and heliport, Emden is also selected by several offshore wind turbine manufacturers for their service activities. Mr. R. Edzards, Managing Director Flugplatz Emden GmbH: “Airport Emden wants to extend the logistic activities for the offshore wind industry. Airport Emden therefore facilitates companies like OutSmart, whose activities are in line with this strategy.”
