Jeonnam Offshore Wind Power was founded in 2020 as a 51-49 joint venture between SK E&S and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP).

The developers reached a financial close on the project in October 2023.

The 99 MW Jeonnam 1 offshore wind project is being built off the coast of Shinan County, Jeonnam Province.

The wind farm will use Mokpo New Port, close to the Jeonnam 1 site, as marshalling port for the assembly process.
