Omexom Hires HeliService for Air Transport on 5 Offshore Wind Farms

Omexom Renewable Energies Offshore, former EWE Offshore Service & Solutions (EWE OSS), has awarded a contract to HeliService, booking the German helicopter transport provider’s services on five offshore wind farms for at least two years.

HeliService will be responsible for offshore air transport and hoisting work on the Alpha Ventus, Riffgat, Trianel Windpark Borkum, and Merkur offshore wind farms in Germany and the Gemini offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.

The helicopter services contract represents a continuation of HeliService’s work with Omexom, since the offshore transport provider was the previous partner for Omexom and won contracts with the offshore wind farm operator in the three separate bids.

Under the latest agreement, which went into effect on 1 April, HeliService will be providing both planned and unplanned flights to the platforms and hoisting operation to winch areas for the five offshore wind farms, with the company’s AW169 helicopter to be used as the main aircraft for the operations.

The contract has been signed for two years, with two options for extension, each for twelve months, making it a total of four years maximum.
