EOLOS and Windpal Team Up Offshore Japan
Spain-based EOLOS and Japanese Windpal have signed an agreement to secure business in the Japanese offshore wind market.
The two companies will combine EOLOS FLS200 technology and digital services with Windpal environmental marine services to execute safe and sustainable operations at sea.
Under the agreement, EOLOS will provide Windpal with the necessary technology and digital data services insight for offering wind and metocean measurement services to offshore wind developers.
Windpal will monitor regulatory frame progress closely and establish permanent contact with local stakeholders to execute campaigns from an early stage.
“EOLOS has been successful in diverse markets via product qualification followed by cohesive collaboration with local partners. The agreement reached with Windpal prepares EOLOS to enter Japan with the assurance of end-to-end execution that our clients expect from us”, said Rajai Aghabi, CEO of EOLOS.
EOLOS is leveraging its success in European, Asian, and North American projects to appeal to developers in Japan.
The company’s FLS LiDAR buoy achieved Stage 3 rating under the Carbon Trust Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA) Roadmap for the Commercial Acceptance of floating LiDAR technology.
Last year, EOLOS deployed two of its FLS200 lidar devices in South Korea and also signed a two-year turn-key contract with PGE Baltica for a wind resource and metocean measuring campaign.
Furthermore, in 2022, the Spanish company teamed up with OceanPact to secure business in the Brazilian offshore wind market.
