The third phase of the project is being developed on a different timescale to the first two phases, Dogger Bank A and B, which are being constructed at the same time.

Offshore export cable installation will start in the first quarter of 2024, and the installation of the offshore platform in the second quarter of 2024.

The installation of the foundations will begin in the third quarter of 2024, followed by the installation of the 14 MW Haliade-X turbines in the second quarter of 2025.

Located more than 130 kilometres off the North East Coast of England, Dogger Bank offshore wind farm is owned by SSE Renewables, Equinor, and Eni.

SSE Renewables is leading the construction and delivery of all three phases, while Equinor will operate the wind farm on completion. The total investment in the offshore wind farm is expected to be around GBP 9 billion (EUR 10.6 billion).

Once fully commissioned in 2026, Dogger Bank will be capable of providing around five per cent of the UK’s electricity.
