Waves Group has secured a contract to provide marine warranty surveyor services for the Dogger Bank offshore wind project in the UK.
Waves Group is providing the services for Dogger Bank A, which involves the installation of foundations, infield cables, turbines, export cables and one offshore substation and the foundation for Dogger Bank B.
Operations include loadouts, installations and pulling in cables to both foundations and substations.
The contract commenced in August and will continue through to the turbine installation phase in 2023.
Dogger Bank Wind Farm is being delivered 130 km off the coast of Yorkshire in three 1.2 GW phases. The project, owned by Equinor and SSE Renewables, will comprise GE’s Haliade-X 13 MW turbines.
Construction began in January, with commercial operation is expected in 2023, when it will become the world’s largest offshore wind farm.
