Earlier in 2021, Akrocean and its Korean Partners Vision Plus and SA Offshore deployed two FLiDAR Systems in Korean waters for one year of wind and metocean assessment to secure the Electric Business Licence (EBL) for a domestic key developer, the company said.

At the beginning of this year, Akrocean also signed a framework agreement with Ørsted to accelerate FLS deployments in different parts of the world by simplifying the tender procedures with pre-negotiated terms.

A couple of months ago, Akrocean won the tender launched by Ørsted in the APAC area within this framework, according to the company.

The company has recently set up a new office in Vietnam to support its activity in the APAC region.

Akrocean’s WINDSEA FLiDAR received Stage 2 verification under the OWA Carbon Trust Roadmap in March 2019.
