Manor Finishes Power Job at Borssele 1&2

Manor Renewable Energy (MRE) has completed its work to provide temporary power during the turbine commissioning phase at the Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.

MRE supplied modular temporary power packages, consisting of a 116 kVA generator, custom-built fuel tank and bespoke lifting frames.

Manor Venture, Manor Initiative and Manor Enterprise were contracted to maintain and refuel the offshore generators. Based out of the port of Vlissingen, the fleet maintained the 44 generators required during the project construction phase.

On completion of the temporary power requirement, MRE demobilized all sets from their respective transition pieces and all 44 units were delivered to the company’s home port of Portland, Dorset, in December 2020.

Borssele 1 & 2 comprises 94 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines located 22 km off the coast of the province of Zeeland. The 752 MW project was fully commissioned in November last year.
