Under the 10-year contract, SeaPlanner will be deployed by the O&M team to coordinate all personnel and marine logistics for the 128MW wind farm.

SeaPlanner also supported the construction of Formosa 1 Phase 2 under a contract that SeaRoc secured in March.

“SeaPlanner is currently employed on a significant percentage of the world’s offshore wind turbines, including Formosa 1 and we are pleased to extend our support on this milestone project,” said Managing Director of SeaPlanner Steve Pears.

Formosa 1 is Taiwan’s first commercial-scale offshore wind farm. It consists of the 8MW Formosa 1 Phase 1, inaugurated in May 2017, and the 120MW Formosa 1 Phase 2 which was officially commissioned earlier this month.

The 128MW wind farm comprises two Siemens Gamesa 4MW turbines and 20 Siemens Gamesa 6MW turbines.
