Teddy Enters Herman Sr. Fleet

Dutch marine services provider Herman Sr. has held a name giving ceremony for the newly-built Damen Shoalbuster 2308 S Teddy.

Herman Sr.

Teddy is the thirteenth Damen vessel in the Senior BV fleet and will allow the Dordrecht-based company to expand the services that it offers to the dredging, offshore wind and other sectors.

According to Damen, the Shoalbuster 2308 is ”an exceptionally rugged and versatile workboat, which, as its name suggests, is optimised for a wide range of shallow water operations as well as offshore activities.”

The vessel has already been deployed on its first project.

Herman Sr. was also the first company to order a Damen Shoalbuster 3514.

The 35-metre DP2 vessel will be named Brutus and is expected to be used for wind farm support and maintenance, where its shallow draft will allow it to work both near as well as offshore.

The Brutus is expected to be delivered in Spring 2020.
