The company’s vessels C-Fenna and C-Odyssey finished multiple buoy recovery and redeployment activities for Sealite United Kingdom Ltd in and around the Beatrice wind farm some 13km off the Caithness coast.

Leask Marine was contracted to provide the marine services associated with the recovery of the TRIDENT-3000 and Waverider buoys to deck where Sealite personnel carried out maintenance before the vessel crew redeployed them on site in water depths of approximately 60m.

The 588MW Beatrice offshore wind farm produced first power in July following the installation of the first of 84 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines.

The project, being developed by Beatrice Offshore Windfarm Limited (BOWL), a joint venture partnership between SSE, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Red Rock Power Ltd, is scheduled for commissioning next year.
