Marine MAC said that it will be in charge of supplying build management and technical oversight, as well as overseeing the installation of all systems on the vessel ensuring it is built in line with the contract, specification and rules.

In addition, the company will provide a line of communication between the yard and Mainprize Offshore which is expected to reduce any delays to the build.

According to Marine MAC, the 26-meter-long MO5 will be built to the BV Wind Farm Service Ship S1.

Bob Mainprize, Managing Director at Mainprize Offshore, said that this is the first time the company has had an owner’s representative: “Marine MAC has been fantastic in the contract stages and we look forward to them being our strategic partner in the build of MO5.”

MO4, the latest addition to Mainprize Offshore’s vessels fleet, is currently servicing the Nordergründe offshore wind farm in the German North Sea under an eight-year contract with Deutsche Windtechnik.
