The shared services offering is said to provide clients wishing to develop and construct offshore wind farms with a ”combination of first class engineering expertise combined with first-class hands-on experience from management of EPCI processes that can ensure the successful development.”

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed based on common interest in the new expanding offshore markets.

“Offshore wind is really becoming global and several new markets are rapidly emerging. In order to stay agile and responsive to new and current customers, we believe partnerships and network cooperation are the way forward. We believe that a great contributor to a successful project has the experience and insight to challenge the conventions and apply new power and creativity to existing processes and methods. This was how we contributed on the Veja Mate project which is being completed presently – accelerating the completion by 4 months and greatly increasing customer value,” NPP said.

In addition to the direct services for offshore wind farm developers and owners, Niras and NPP also join forces on secondary tasks like complete solutions for site setups. In this setup, NPP provides logistical, camp and project management services supported by engineering services.

Tore Lucht, Head of Department Offshore Wind, Marine Construction & Geotechnics, said: “NIRAS has strong experience and expertise within offshore wind engineering and design disciplines as well as marine construction and support. We have experienced New Power Partners’ strong skills and commitment first-hand towards project development and execution, and we believe this cooperation will offer new clients the best of both worlds; design and engineering services and management and execution consultancy.”
