Atlantic’s Mothership to Undergo DP2 Fitting

Atlantic Marine & Aviation’s new vessel, Atlantic Enterprise, will arrive in Tilbury Docks today where the DP2 system will be installed.

The 6,400 GRT Atlantic Enterprise is the first in a series of Atlantic Marine’s vessels to operate as an offshore mothership, accommodation and floatel.

It was designed as a solution for the Round 3 offshore wind “accommodation for technicians” requirements and well as for hydrocarbon platform accommodation.

Formerly called, Geco Triton, the 90m vessel features 100 berths and will have compensated walk to work system fitted as well a stern garage which will accommodate two CTVs.

Atlantic Enterprise is already fixed on a charter for the accommodation duties on Gode Wind 1 in the North Sea for the remainder of 2015.

Following the completion of work on Gode Wind 1, further work will be undertaken to install CTV deployment system and Walk to Work system.
