ELA Container Sets Up Specialized Offshore Subsidiary

Due to the increasing demand of offshore accommodations, ELA Container founded a specialized subsidiary. Günter Albers, managing director of ELA Container and Hans Gatzemeier, former quality manager at ELA Container, are responsible as board of directors of the newly established company, ELA Container Offshore GmbH.

ELA Container already gained diverse offshore experience within several offshore projects. According to Günter Albers, the outsourcing of the ELA Offshore department was a logical and a strategically important step: “ELA Container Offshore GmbH is participating in an emerging market, with special requirements for our products, assembling and logistics.”

With the new subsidiary, ELA will be able to response to the special requirements of customers from the offshore wind, oil and gas industry.

ELA Container Sets Up Specialized Offshore Subsidiary “ELA Offshore container can be used on ships, rigs, transformer platforms and all kind of seagoing vessels, pontoons and barges,” says Hans Gatzemeier. “They differ from standard units by a special coating, adapted to the weather conditions at sea and by higher safety standards, service life, functionality and comfort.”

All ELA Offshore modules are “Made in Germany” and posses the DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079-1, DNV 2.7-2 and CSC certificate.

ELA Offshore containers are fully equipped for the corresponding purpose and ready for use immediately after assembly. Besides the A60 insulation and exterior doors with fire protection that ensure high safety, the electrical installation for offshore use and the integrated ventilation system ensure a pleasant, safe and healthy atmosphere.

Depending on customer’s requirements, all ELA offshore containers are available for sale and rent.
