Investment Brings New ‘Toolbox’ to ABIS’ Table

Energy industry veteran, Francis Kiernan, has acquired an interest in ABIS Projects, an Aberdeen-based project management consultancy.

Investment Brings New 'Toolbox' to ABIS' Table (2)Kiernan joins the firm as it embarks on the launch of a ‘Toolbox’ to dramatically improve decision-making on major oil and gas and renewables projects.

ABIS Projects was formed in 2012 by Andy Sutherland who has more than 15 years’ experience in leading large projects with multi-discipline resources covering health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) across the supply chain.

The ABIS Projects ‘Toolbox’ is essentially a framework for the structuring of projects, with a set of proprietary reporting tools across the Oil and Gas and the emergent Renewables industry.

The toolbox has a number of mechanisms that will enable better planning, management and reporting on costs, time and resources relating to projects. This step-by-step system removes the need for typically high-cost project management software systems and can reduce resource and time costs. The toolbox also enables users to draft and populate project execution plans, project schedules, basic reporting systems and exception reporting systems and have, for example, been used by energy companies in a real time SAP environment.
