France: Port of Saint-Brieuc Le Légué to Support OWF Construction

France Port of Saint-Brieuc Le Légué to Support OWF Construction

General Council of Côtes-d’Armor (Conseil général des Côtes-d’Armor) has issued a call for bids for quay construction works for Departmental Port of Saint-Brieuc Le Légué.

The Council states that this development is essential to position the Légué port as a service port in the context of the completion of the offshore wind farm in the bay of Saint –Brieuc.

The work includes the construction of a 100m long quay and median of 2.5 hectares in the outer harbour (4th commercial dock quay). This will lead to: greater accessibility to the commercial port, new storage areas to accommodate new traffic, the transfer of trafficking activities currently performed partly in the basin – thereby developing the leisure area of the port.

The bids can be submitted to Direction de la mer et du littoral until December 16, 2013.
