EMS Opens Offshore Service Station in Port of Borkum, Germany

The EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH newly opened up an offshore service station (OSS) in the port of Borkum.

From the 1st of October 2013 the EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH is able to offer different services for shipping companies, offshore wind farm operators and / or wind turbine manufactures on the north sea island Borkum.

In the sheltered warehouse of the OSS the EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH offers palletized shelfs, small parts stores, offices and wide space for large components like small boats or spare parts.

The OSS has a direct access to the berth incl. the possibility to use a shore crane with a capacity up to 16 tons. Together with a local partner the EMS maritime Offshore GmbH also offers 24/7 bunkering service for OSV and CTVs.

The WINDEA Offshore, a joint venture of EMS Maritime Offshore GmbH, SSC Wind (wildeshausen) and Bernhard Schulte Group (hamburg), will offer an integrated maintenance concept including the OSS on the island of Borkum for offshore wind farms.

Together with its parent company the AG-EMS and its subsidiary company OFD the EMS Maritime Offshore ensure the daily logistic to the continent.
