New CEO of Alstom Germany Management Board

Alf Henryk Wulf will join Alstom as CEO of the Alstom Germany Management Board. Mr Wulf was appointed in his new function on 19 March by the Supervisory Board of ALSTOM Deutschland AG. Mr Wulf was previously Chairman of the Board at Alcatel-Lucent Deutschland AG.

Patrick Kron, Alstom Chairman and CEO, said “that Alf Henryk Wulf will be joining our company and taking over the management of Alstom in Germany. With a workforce of 9,000 people and 20 engineering, service and production sites, Alstom Germany is a vital part of the Alstom Group. Plants like Salzgitter for regional trains, Mannheim for power generation equipment and Mönchengladbach for power transmission equipment are among our leading facilities worldwide. Alf Henryk Wulf will be responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational development of our activity in the country, an important part of Alstom’s future, and for representing the company in Germany.”

Klaus Mangold, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alstom Germany, stated that “Alf Henryk Wulf will be an important guarantor of the strategic and operative development of Alstom Germany and of its positioning in the market”.

Alf Henryk Wulf (49) is a graduate of the Technical University of Munich (Technische Universität München) and holds an MBA from EM Lyon Business School. He has spent his entire career at Alcatel-Lucent, where he began working in 1991. He was appointed Sales Director for Germany, North and West regions in 1996, and became Key Account Manager Deutsche Telekom AG in 1997. In 2002, he served as Executive Vice President for Sales and Marketing for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. In 2003, he became a member of the board of Alcatel SEL AG and was made Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales responsible for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Central and Eastern Europe, and Russia. He became Deputy Chairman in 2006 and Chairman of the Management Board of Alcatel-Lucent Deutschland AG in 2009.
