The Netherlands: Seacat Services and Offshore Wind Services Join Forces

Seacat Services and Offshore Wind Services Join Forces (UK)

Seacat Services and Offshore Wind Services announce the forming of a strategic alliance between the two companies.

Seacat Services Ltd, an Isle of Wight based operator, currently has two x 19m and two x 24m DNV Classed multi-purpose windfarm support vessels under construction with South Boats Special Projects. These are all scheduled for launching within 2012. A further two vessel options are available for delivery in early 2013. The company has ongoing expansion plans.

Offshore Wind Services B.V. is a joint venture between Royal Doeksen and Workships of Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Both these companies have long and distinguished track records for providing support services to the offshore industry. Offshore Wind Services has two x 19m DNV Classed multi-purpose windfarm support vessels well underway at South Boats Special Projects with scheduled delivery in March and April 2012. Two further options for 28m DNV Classed vessels are available for execution this year.

Seacat Services and Offshore Wind Services share common ideas and philosophies, particularly in regard to industry best practice and the utilization of safety management systems. By sharing common vessel types, these two companies will take advantage of synergies in crewing, crew competence, procurement and delivery of spare parts and HSE management.

In the coming months the companies will further assess opportunities to enhance their service to current and future clients and intend to further develop their relationship. Research into commonalities will include utilization of vessels available to both and the provision of assistance and back-up to each other across Europe.

Feel free to visit them in Booth 11626, at EWEA Amsterdam.
