The company’s scope of work included the installation of foundations, wind turbines, array cables, and nearshore marine works.

With the nearshore construction complete, the project is scheduled to be commissioned in the first quarter of the year, Waves Group said.

The 78 MW Hiep Thanh nearshore wind farm is located between one and three kilometres off the coast of Tra Vinh Province.

The wind farm will feature 18 Siemens Gamesa 4.3 MW wind turbines that are set to produce 295.4 GWh/year of renewable energy, providing up to 180,975 households with clean energy.

Last year, Guangzhou Salvage Bureau installed all monopile foundations at the nearshore sites of the Hiep Thanh and Tra Vinh V1-2 wind farms in Vietnam.
