According to Senvion, all components for the 200MW wind farm have been finished and shipped to Eemshaven.

Trianel Windpark Borkum II comprises 32 Senvion 6.2M152 turbines installed on monopile foundations at the site some 40km north of the island of Borkum.

The turbine installation, initially scheduled to start mid-April, was postponed until summer after Senvion had filed for self-administration in April. Jan De Nul’s vessel Taillevent installed the first unit in August.

Trianel Windpark Borkum II, the developer of the project, is owned by EWE AG with a 37.5% share, and a joint venture of the power utility of the city of Zurich with 24.51%. The Stadtwerke-Kooperation Trianel together with 17 municipal utilities from Germany holds a share of 37.99%
