According to DEME, Orion will arrive in Rostock, Germany, in a few weeks, where it will be equipped with a Liebherr crane that has a lifting capacity of 5,000t.

The 216.5m vessel will be able to accommodate a crew of up to 131 people and will be powered by a dual-fuel engine capable of burning liquefied natural gas (LNG).

In mid-July, Orion left the COSCO Qidong shipyard in China to start the first series of sea trials, where its performance was measured and the dual-fuel engines tested to their maximum power.

Orion will be deployed for the construction of the largest offshore wind farms, to service the oil & gas industry, and for the decommissioning of offshore installations.
