Photo of the Day: Innovation Gets Jacked
DEME Group’s jack-up vessel Innovation is undergoing a final stage of a maintenance and repair program at the Damen Verolme yard in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The photo shows the vessel during full height jacking trials at the yard. Following the jacking trials and final tests, Innovation will head to ”a full schedule of work”, which includes the installation of monopile foundations at the SeaMade offshore wind farm in the Belgian North Sea.
The 487MW SeaMade wind farm includes the merged 235MW Mermaid and 252MW Seastar projects.
The wind farm is located up to 50km off the coast of Ostend and will comprise 58 Siemens Gamesa 8MW wind turbines scheduled for commissioning in 2020.
