The 1,214MW Hornsea One is located some 120 kilometres offshore Yorkshire and will comprise a total of 174 wind turbines, 88 of which will be installed by Bold Tern. The remaining 86 wind turbines will be installed by A2SEA.

Bold Tern installed the first turbine at the site in early February.

Over 50 of the wind farm’s turbines are already operational, Ørsted, the developer and the operator of the wind farm, said.

Hornsea One is scheduled for completion in 2020 when it will become the biggest wind farm in the world.
