Damen Preps Apollo for Moray East
DEME Offshore’s newbuild jack-up vessel Apollo is currently undergoing mobilization for the Moray East offshore wind project at Damen Shiprepair Dunkerque in France.
The multi-purpose, self-propelled jack-up vessel will carry out one-month mobilization to prepare for pre-piling works at the 950MW project in the UK.
DEME is the EPCI contractor for the wind farm’s turbine foundations and three offshore substation foundations and is in charge of the transport and installation of the OSS topsides.
Moray East, located 22km off the Scottish coast, will comprise 100 MHI Vestas 9.5MW turbines expected to be fully up and running in 2022.
