China’s Farthest Offshore Wind Farm All Hooked Up

The 302.4MW Dafeng H3 offshore wind farm has reached full capacity after the final of the 72 wind turbines was connected to the Chinese grid on 20 December.

The wind farm is located in the East China Sea and comprises 72 Envision 4.2MW turbines installed on monopile foundations.

Located some 43 kilometres off the coast of the Jiangsu Province, Dafeng H3 is China’s farthest offshore wind farm.

According to local media, the wind farm was put into operation 202 days after the official start of construction.

State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) is the owner and developer of the wind farm. The Balance of Plant contractor on the project was Huadian Heavy Industry.
