The total installed capacity of the wind farm will be around 250MW, with up to 50 offshore wind turbines installed.

Up to now, 120MW of offshore wind turbines have been successfully bidden, according to Fujian Zhongmin Offshore Wind Power.

The total capacity of wind turbines to be bidden for this time shall not exceed 130MW.

The scope of bidding also covers the accompanying equipment, including (i.a.) towers, complete monitoring system, spare parts, and technical service.

Deadline for the submission of bids is 16 June.

Fujian Zhongmin Offshore Wind Power noted that it retains the right to adjust the quantities of the offshore winds according to the single capacity of bidden models and the total installed capacity of the wind farm for Phase II, which has been approved by the relevant authority.

Phase II of Putian Pinghai Bay offshore wind farm is situated in Putian Pinghai Bay, Xiuyu District, Putian, Fujian Province. The project neighbours Daitou Peninsula on the west and Nanri Island on the north.

The first phase of the project (50MW) was connected to the grid and fully commissioned last year.

In November 2016, the Board of Directors of the New Development Bank (NDB) approved a CNY 2 billion (EUR 273.3 million) loan for the Putian Pinghai Bay offshore wind power project.
