Met masts for two new Taiwanese offshore wind projects have been grouted by ITW WindGroup’s UHPC material Ducorit®, the company informed.
After a met mast for the TGC project was grouted with Ducorit S5 in July, in early November, the grouting work was carried out at the met mast for the TaiPower project, which will comprise 30 offshore wind turbines.

The grouting operation on the Taipower project was undertaken by Hunter Kim from ITW WindGroup and Supervisor Henrik Soholt, from ITW Engineered Polymers. The grouting team used approximately 21 tons of Ducorit D4 to connect the pile and transition piece.
The company said that it plans to play an active role in offshore wind market in Taiwan, which had set targets for an installed offshore wind energy capacity of 15MW by 2015, 320MW by 2020, 1.5GW by 2025, and 3GW by 2030.
