At the WindEnergy event held last week in Hamburg, Offshore WIND spoke to Markus Rieck, General Manager of ALSTOM Renewable Germany GmbH. The company proves its position as one of the biggest renewable energy players with its latest technology development and expansion of its offshore wind work on an intercontinental level.
Fluor has taken a second legal action in relation with Greater Gabbard offshore wind project, as the engineering company recently filed a lawsuit against Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry (ZPMC), requesting a compensation in an amount of GBP 250 million.
On September 26, the Dutch government has announced that it had chosen three areas at sea where wind farms can be developed in the coming years. The government identified offshore wind areas off Borssele and off the coasts of South Holland and North Holland.
IBERDROLA has launched the pile testing campaign for its Wikinger offshore wind farm project following the completion of the site’s geotechnical investigation on the Baltic Sea.
Construction works at London Array Offshore Wind Farm are complete and the wind farm is operational. However, some remedial construction works are required.
