The cables are used for connecting the wind turbines with each other and for their connection to an offshore transformer platform. The framework contract runs until the end of 2020 and may be extended for two years.

The Danish energy company also has the opportunity to expand the scope of services for the supply and installation of accessories for the cable.

Dong Energy has already equipped several large wind farms with Nexans cables, for example, West of Duddon Sands and Westermost Rough in the United Kingdom, as well as German offshore wind farms Borkum Riffgrund and Gode Wind 1 and 2.
