Glosten Associates Announces Three New Principals

Seattle-based Glosten Associates announces the promotion of three Associate Group Leads to Principal.

“This move both recognizes and strengthens the technical expertise and practical experience of our leadership,” remarked Glosten president Jay Edgar.

Benjamin Ackers, PE, specializes in naval architecture and ocean engineering and analysis, and leads the firm’s Ocean Engineering and Analysis Group. He currently serves as Technology Development Manager for the PelaStar™ foundation system for floating offshore wind turbines. Mr. Ackers is a graduate of Webb Institute (BS, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, 1997), and has an MBA from the University of Washington.

Morgan Fanberg, PE, specializes in the design of marine mechanical and electrical systems, and leads the Marine Engineering Group. Since joining Glosten, Mr. Fanberg has driven the growth of the firm’s electrical engineering capabilities. He is a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy (BS, Marine Engineering Systems, 1998).

Matthew Miller, PE leads the Naval Architecture Group. With 20 years of marine industry experience, and 8 years of US Coast Guard experience, he is Glosten’s resource on all regulatory issues. Mr. Miller is a graduate of the US Coast Guard Academy (BS, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, 1993) and the University of California, Berkeley (MEng, Naval Architecture, 1996).
