R115 Wave Device at Punta Righini Produces First Power (Italy)

The R115 machine at 40SouthEnergy’s Punta Righini test site converted wave energy into electricity for the first time on December 13.

The company announced this on its social media pages, and said that it will release further details soon.

Punta Righini Wave Energy Park is located approximately 1.5Nm offshore Castiglioncello, Tuscany. It will comprise up to four R115 Wave Energy Converters.
