Denmark: Jacket Production Under Way at Bladt

Denmark Jacket Production Under Way at Bladt

Bladt’s new facilities at Lindø Industrial Park are nearly all set and the production of the 41 jackets for ENBW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm is well under way.

At the moment, almost 100 men are in full swing in the workshops where they have spent the last months preparing these with the so called “jigs” – steel stands that have been cast into the floor and which are now being used during the production of part of the steel structures for the many jackets.

All across the line, Bladt employees are working hard to have the first jackets ready before the turn of the year.

The EnBW Baltic 2 offshore wind farm is the second offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. The wind farm is located about 32 km north of Ruegen Island in the western part of the Baltic Sea. With a total of 80 wind turbines of 3.6 MW each, EnBW Baltic 2 will have a total capacity of 288 MW.
