BBB to Present New Service Products in Husum, Germany

BBB will present new service products from 18 to 22 September 2012 at HUSUM WindEnergy, where engineers of all departments will be available for discussions (Hall 7/B13).

“Of course BBB attends this year’s HUSUM WindEnergy and has a booth there – our employees are already looking forward to that somewhat different type of confer-ence,” says Joachim Binotsch, one of the three managing directors of the German wind energy consultancy.

“Apart from expert services in the field of wind assessments, project planning and implementation and technical due diligence there will be a focus this time on new products in the area of wind measurement,” says Binotsch.

BBB‘s accredited testing laboratory is a pioneer for the relatively new laser-based wind measurement technology LIDAR. As one of the first engineering companies BBB has acquired this innovative technology in order to complement conventional measurement methods.

LIDAR measurements are marked by a high degree of precision and maximum flexibility. Important for the clients: The compact unit can be installed at any accessible project site immediately – without time-consuming application procedures.

A further innovation in the field of wind measurements is BBB’s Measurement Monitoring System (MMS). The system was developed by BBB engineers to avoid costly data losses. It is a user-friendly monitoring and analyzing system, that allows a steady real-time check and evaluation of wind measurements from any internet access point.

It automatically sends out alarm messages in case of sensor failures. The value of consistent measurement data becomes clear in the results of subsequent wind reports: These can be calculated with significantly lower uncertainties.

BBB’s planning department will take the opportunity to promote its well engineered six-step-concept for wind energy project developments. Lots of public utilities in Germany actually wanting to build up their own energy production capacities are already benefitting from it.

Also new is that BBB, motivated by a number of requests, has elaborated some so-phisticated training courses and inhouse-seminars on the subject of wind energy. The range of subjects offered in the courses mirrors the comprehensive knowledge provided by the consulting engineers, covering nearly every aspect of a wind energy project development.
