Germany: Iberdrola Considering Partnership for EUR 1.6 Billion Wind Farm

Spanish energy company Iberdrola is considering finding a partner for the development of the 1.6 billion euro wind farm in Germany.

The Financial Times Deutschland cited Jonathan Cole: “We are looking at various financing options. It is quite possible that we will do the project with a partner.”

This follows an announcement from the last week that the company is commencing the detailed engineering phase of Wikinger, the company’s first offshore wind farm in Germany.

In total, Iberdrola is planning 11,000 MW of offshore wind capacity across Europe.
