Blue Water Finishes Offshore Wind Development Promotion Tour (Denmark)

Blue Water Shipping has just finished a promotion tour in France – focusing on the development of French offshore wind.

Blue Water Shipping spent a week visiting several French ports which potentially are going to play a role in future French offshore wind projects.

Blue Water Shipping was represented by Søren Stougaard and Jacob Kjærgaard from BWS Esbjerg and by Mogens Nielsen and Marianne Girardin, BWS Brest

The tour started with a visit at the Danish Embassy in Paris where we were met by Karen-Luise Johansen Geslin (picture).

We were warmed welcomed by the ports and their representatives and there is no doubt that the French ports are well organized to meet the challenges that they will face from 2016 in regards to the first five offshore wind projects. But it is also clear that Blue Water Shipping with our experience have plenty to offer“, says Business Development Manager, Jacob Kjærgaard.

We are now going to evaluate the impressions that we have received and plan next steps for our setup in France“.

Since 1982 Blue Water Shipping has been represented in France where the company has offices in Brest and Lorient. These offices have handled several turbines related to onshore wind turbine projects in France both as forwarder and as port operator.
