Siag Appoints New Group Sales Director (Germany)

SIAG Schaaf Industrie AG – the leading supplier for towers and steel components for the onshore and offshore wind energy industry – enlarges its global sales team.

As of October 1st 2011, Mr. Dipl.-Kfm. Claus Herting has acce pted the position as Group Sales Director, and is therefore responsible for the leadership and coordination of the SIAG Group’s sales activities. This includes all national and international activities of the “Wind Energy Technology Onshore” and mechanical engineering sectors. This will also encompass the “Maritime Systems/ Offshore” business unit in the future.

Dipl.Kfm. Claus Herting

SIAG produces tubular steel towers including internals, main frames and generator frames, as well as foundation structures and substations in its locations across Europe, MENA and the USA.

Before working at SIAG Schaaf Industrie AG Mr. Herting gained a wide range of experience in the wind energy industry in his responsibilities for marketing and sales at REpower Systems SE, a manufacturer of wind turbines. Prior to this, Claus Herting worked at Linde AG for 12 years and at MAN for 3 years in different international management positions. Mr. Herting studied Business Administration and International Management at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken.
