DJSI World Includes Gamesa Five Years in Row (Switzerland)

For the fifth year in a row, Gamesa has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World), which tracks the economic, environmental and social performance of leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide.

In this year’s ranking, Gamesa achieved its highest ever overall score while it once again obtained the best rating for the industry on the social dimension and recorded notable improvements in its environmental dimension scores, driven by the trends in the metrics tracking its consumption of energy and other natural resources.

The company’s performance on sustainability issues, such as the implementation of its code of conduct and anti-corruption policy, was similarly noteworthy: in the workplace safety and health categories, the company obtained the highest overall and highest sector scores, respectively.

Gamesa is one of the 20 Spanish companies included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index. The DJSI World comprises 10% of the 2,700 companies that make up the Dow Jones Wilshire Global Index, following a rigorous selection process undertaken by an independent assessment agency (SAM-Sustainability Asset Management).

Gamesa is a member of other benchmark sustainability indexes such as the FTSE4Good, FTSE4Good IBEX, Ethibel Sustainability Index, SB20, Global Challenges Index, Cleantech Index and the Standard & Poors Global Clean Energy Index, among others.
