Changes in The REpower System Executive Board (Germany)

Per Hornung Pedersen, Chief Market Officer (CMO) of REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703), is resigning his seat on the Executive Board as of March 31, 2011 and leaving the company. Mr. Pedersen has been on the Executive Board of REpower Systems AG since January 1, 2008 and started out as CEO of the globally growing enterprise. Since July 1, 2010 he has been focusing on the fields of Business Development, Sales and Marketing, Key Account Management, Contractual Risk Management and Government Relations in the newly created position of CMO.

CEO Andreas Nauen will in the future take on Pedersen’s remit. The Group Executive Board will accordingly be reduced from five to four members as of April 1, 2011.

Mr. Tulsi R. Tanti, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of REpower Systems AG, thanked Mr. Pedersen for his achievements: „Per Hornung Pedersen has worked with the Group for over seven years. He began Suzlon’s international operations from scratch and was subsequently appointed as CEO of REpower where he oversaw significant top and bottom line growth. I understand and respect Per’s decision to move on from his role as chief market officer. He is a good and loyal friend of the Group’s and I know that will continue for many years to come. We wish him well for the future.”

REpower CEO Andreas Nauen added: “On behalf of the entire Executive Board I would like to thank Per for his helpful cooperation. I would like to thank him personally for the good support he gave me after my appointment as CEO in July 2010, which I very much appreciate.”
