Ørsted has issued a tender seeking project certification services for the Borkum Riffgrund 3 and Gode Wind 3 offshore wind projects in Germany.
The first lot in the tender concerns project certification for the wind turbines and the support structures, including the tower, substructure and foundation.
Lot 2 is for Gode Wind 3 offshore substation certification and includes the topside, modular support frame and the foundation.
The final lot is looking for project certification of inter-array cables at the two wind farms.
The deadline for submitting applications for the tender is 31 August at 08:00 local time, while the contracts would begin on 1 December this year and end on 31 December 2024.
Both Borkum Riffgrund 3 and Gode Wind 3 will feature Siemens Gamesa 11.0-200 DD turbines.
Ørsted expects the installation of the 242 MW Gode Wind 3 to begin in 2023, with commissioning being completed in 2024. The installation of the 900 MW Borkum Riffgrund 3 is expected to begin in 2024, with commissioning in 2025.
