The East Anglia ONE wind farm project has complied with all the Operational Conditions Precedent (OCPs) to begin receiving payments under the Contracts for Difference scheme in the United Kingdom, Iberdrola said.
The added capacity at East Anglia ONE has increased Iberdrola’s installed offshore wind capacity by 77.1% year-on-year, from 544MW at the end of 2018 to 964MW at the end of 2019, Iberdrola said in its financial report for the Fiscal Year 2019.
The difference of 420MW suggests that 60 out of the 102 wind turbines were installed at the wind farm by the end of 2019.
East Anglia ONE delivered the first power to the UK grid in early September 2019.
The partial commissioning of East Anglia ONE and the full commissioning of the 350MW Wikinger in the German Baltic Sea helped Iberdrola increase its offshore wind production by 34.7% year-on-year, from 1,642 GWh in 2018 to 2,211 GWh in 2019.
Iberdrola also operates the 194MW West of Duddon Sands wind farm in the UK waters.
